Welcome to our School

'Learning Together, Growing Together, Succeeding Together.'

I am delighted to welcome you to our website and I hope you are able to find the information you need about our ethos and our school community. You will be able to read our key policies that underpin our practice as well as access the ‘need to know’ information.

Our curriculum is changing this academic year to ensure your child is enjoying their learning through a range of different subjects and topics. Reading is at the heart of all our planning so that your child can access the curriculum with growing confidence.

At Chesterton Primary School, it is important that your children learn from a curriculum that is inspiring and enables each individual child to see the world beyond their doorstep whilst at the same time being equipped with the basic and necessary skills to cope with day-to-day life.

We want the children to be proud of who they are, where they come from and how they fit into society. We want parents to embark on the journey alongside their children and support positive behaviour, learning at home and good attendance. Your children are encouraged to work hard and be their best in and out of school and we are determined to improve learning outcomes for all of our children.

Our conversion to an academy with ‘The Collective Vision Trust’ has only served to strengthen links within the community. Together, we have a passion for making a difference and improving outcomes and achievement for every child.

I am proud to be Headteacher at Chesterton Primary and the staff team and we are moving forward together to continue to raise standards. We would love you to join us on our journey!

We hope you enjoy looking at our website.

If you require any further information or if you wish to see the school in action, please feel free to make an appointment with the office. We encourage parents and children into the school to see our modern learning environment and to see the work we are developing. What we can’t get across in words on a website is the welcoming and positive vibe that we have in school – you’re welcome to step in!
