Writing

English teaching is underpinned with crucial knowledge. Children are taught the building blocks of writing, through the teaching of crucial knowledge, and this enables children to be confident and successful as they move through school.

Learning starts in EYFS with very clear and firm foundations and builds with each stage.  A weekly write provides children with writing stamina.  SPaG is taught alongside reading and writing to ensure children understand what they are writing and how to become better writers.
